What is a living hinge?
From the wikipedia,
A living hinge is a thin flexible hinge (flexure bearing) made from the same material as the two rigid pieces it connects, rather than cloth, leather, or some other flexible substance. It is typically thinned or cut to allow the rigid pieces to bend along the line of the hinge.
Living hinge is used quite often in the wood laser cutting project where you need to create a bendable edge such as the note book cover.
Most makers have also managed to push the boundaries by applying it on the acrylic or Valchromat which give a very interesting result.
